GST Council
GST council is responsible for making decision relating to GST. It is constituted under Article 279A of Indian Constitution. It comprises 33 members.
The member of GST council are as follows:
- The Union Minister of Finance as the Chairperson.
- The Union Minister of State in Charge of Revenue from the centre
- A minister from each state who is either in charge of finance or taxation or has been nominated by the State to serve as a member of the GST Council
